Bridge Valley Road is also closed both ways because of roadworks between Clifton Down and A4 Portway, in Clifton. A diversion route is in operation in Sylvan Way, Canford Lane, and the Portway. Diversion routes from Cotham or Redland will go to Whiteladies Road, and those from the south will route motorists to the Portway and Jacobs Wells Road.
