Citroen Unveils Green LCV Agenda

Going green is the focus of this year’s British Motor Show and Citroen LCVs were at the forefront by introducing their new green initiative – an environmental programme for its LCV range.

The programme, entitled ‘Airdream’ is aimed at minimising the environmental impact that Citroen’s LCVs produce, and customers are assured that any Citroen LCV carrying the Airdream logo will have CO2 emissions of less than 120g/km or will be fitted with a diesel particulate filter system or will meet Powershift Band 4 standards.

Airdream also ensures that LCVs are manufactured in an ISO 14001 certifed factory and are designed to be 95 per cent recycled and energy recoverable at the end of their life.

Robert Handyside, commercial vehicle operations manager for Citroen said: “ Citroen is a European in the manufacture of fuel efficient, green vans. The company’s responsible – and award-winning commitment – to reduce the environmental impact of its vehicles is now clearly defined by the new Citroen Airdream LCV initiative”

Vehicles in Citroen’s current LCV range which already carry the Airdream signature include the Nemo 1.4 HDi SensoDrive model and the manual 5 speed model, the C2 van, the C-Crosser Commercial, the Dispatch 2.0 HDi 136hp, the Nemo 1.4i Dual Fuel and the Berlingo First 1.4 Dual Fuel vans.
